I am Tia, a PhD scholar in English linguistics researching the discursive construction of victims and the accused in rape trial judgments, where language meets law. I have two master’s degrees: one in teaching English as a foreign language and another in English linguistics and language.
I currently serve as a station house officer and investigation officer in the Punjab Police, bringing a rare blend of legal investigation and linguistic expertise to my work. Through Linguistics with Tia, on this site and my YouTube channel, I teach linguistics, offer editing, proofreading, and research services, and explore language in all its depth.
